| Well well well! what have we here?
Q. What weighs 451Kg, has a 899cc engine and accelerates bloody fast?
A. My New Car!
The Choice
I spent a large number of hours and wasted a lot of foot tickling time (sorry
P) reading, looking, dreaming,
comparing, thinking, drooling and considering all of the thousands of options
available to the kitcar fraternity.
Then I stopped thinking about it and decided! I'll have one, then of course I
had to REALLY start reading, looking, dreaming,
comparing, thinking, drooling and considering all of the thousands of options
available to the kitcar fraternity.
My first thoughts were around the Robin Hood - Purely on Price, but they
can't/won't build them.
Then someone showed me an F27 - and tried to sell me one too, that was already
perfect for me - but I have a budget
Then there was Tiger, Sportspowerdrive and Mac#1 - all either out of my budget,
or building cars that weren't made by them
What were they building? MK Indys thats what! So I thought - lets go to the
source of the river, so I did, and they lent me a boat to go home in
MK Have just started to build turnkey cars. Whether I am the first customer or
not - I don't care. The guys around MK are some of the freindliest
and most helpful that I have met. He may well have an excellent chassis, but if
he was a miserable, unhelpful git he wouldn't be going very far.
If this guy and his family show everyone the courtesy they showed me then the
sky is the limit for MK.
Everyone I have met and spoken to in the Kitcar world has been exceptionally
helpful and has gone out of thier way to help me, I'm not going to
enter into the murky undercurrents that are there, suffice to say there are
good guys out there and there are crooks (i'm sure) so far, i hope,
I've just met the good guys.
Giving full credit to MK Engineering
and thier Indy chassis, I will soon be the proud owner of "The
Hornet"
an MK Indy 'Blade.
I can't wait!
