For the past two and a bit years and four ground breaking camera
releases from Canon I've said - "I'll have one of those if I can get one second
hand for a thousand pounds" well with the release of the Canon EOS 300D in
November 2003 it was time to prove I wasn't lying to myself. I think it was
£800 well spent.
The links in the menu above cover some of my 'work' I take photo's of things
that interest me, I'm not a particular fan of landscapes, preferring a definate
subject and often just a part of that subject.
The EOS 300D is a great camera, it's lightweight and fits in my left hand really
nicely allowing me to compose the shot and adjust the focal length of the lens
while it does the fiddly bit of focussing quite well. I find I can hand hold
most shots as a two handed person can, I do suffer on long Focal lengths
though.

One of my favourite techniques is macro photography, and I'm slowly building up
an equipment list covering basic amatuer SLR requirements with a tendency
towards closeups. Unfortunately all the next bits I would like are the
expensive ones.
Current Equipment
-
Canon EOS 300D
-
Canon EOS 300
-
Sigma 100-300 EX HSM
-
Canon 75-300 usm II
-
Canon 50mm f1.8
-
Canon 18-55 f3.5-5.6 (kit lens)
-
Jessops AF Extension Tubes 13,21,31mm
-
Sonia Close-up kit (+1,+2,+4,+10)
-
Jessops 6ft Tripod
-
Manfrotto Monopod
I'm just starting on my foray into photography, I have a few friends and
colleagues interested too but they all have more expensive equipment - I'm
hoping to make them jealous with the Digital Bit, but I think they'll succeed
in making me jealous with thier lens quality
